for authors

The Golden Compasses is a peer-reviewed scientific journal and publication is subject to strict conditions.
We welcome articles and contributions. This is how it works.

Copy that matches the subject and profile of the journal can be sent to the editors as a text document by email.

Article texts are always subject of a preliminary assessment by the editors and subsequently of an external double blind peer review.

Based on the opinion of the editorial team and the reports of external experts, the editorial team decides independently about the inclusion in the journal, whether or not on the condition of a (thorough) revision by the author.

Authors of articles and contributions will receive an author’s copy of the journal and a digital overprint for personal use after publication.

Here you can read and download the publication conditions.

The entire content of the journal is made available digitally through the Digital Library for Dutch Literature (DBNL). If an author objects to the online availability of (a) contribution(s) to The Golden Compasses, it is possible to make that publication inaccessible at any time ( opt-out). This can be applied for by email to the editorial secretariat. The contribution(s) will then be shielded from the DBNL as soon as possible.
